Jewish history is still being written.
From the stone streets of Jerusalem to the families building lives in Judea, Israel is more than a headline. Zionism Today tells its stories with memory, conviction, and a healthy refusal to whisper.
Why Zionism Today exists
Because Israel deserves to be understood as a living country, not a slogan passed around by people who have never set foot here.
We write about the Jewish connection to this land, the people who defend and build it, and the ordinary moments that make it home. Jerusalem at dawn. A crowded Friday market. A family setting the Shabbat table while the news keeps shouting.
Our perspective is proudly Zionist. We believe the Jewish people have the right to self-determination in our ancestral homeland. We believe democracy matters, Jewish history matters, and words should mean something. When a claim about Israel is false, we say so. When something here is beautiful, difficult, funny, or heartbreaking, we say that too.
Israel is not an abstract argument. It is a place where people live, pray, argue, work, mourn, and begin again.
What you’ll find here
Israel, up close. Stories rooted in its streets, landscapes, and communities.
History with a memory. Jewish history did not begin with this morning’s news alert. We connect today’s arguments to the places and events behind them.
Opinion with a backbone. Clear arguments about Israel, antisemitism, democracy, and the double standards applied to the Jewish state. Sharp where warranted. Grounded in facts.
Where we stand
Proudly Jewish. Proudly Zionist. Wide awake.
We welcome readers who love Israel, readers who are curious about it, and readers willing to have their assumptions challenged. You’ll find travel and tradition here alongside politics and argument. We make room for complexity without forgetting the people at the center of the story.
Welcome to Zionism Today.
