A few years ago I sort of mumbled that perhaps Kahane was right to a leftist Israeli friend of mine. His reaction was frighteningly hostile and irrational so I backed off. Not proud of myself. I do remember hearing Kahane speak when I was a student at CCNY. He was extremely inspiring and we were wrong not to appreciate him.

I’ve been a Kahane girl ever since I first heard of him.
He was so right, and I sincerely believe Israel wouldn’t be in the position it’s in today if he had been listened to.
