Two weeks ago I enrolled with Lev Haolam to receive a monthly box of beautiful items produced in Judea and Samaria. This program directly supports the unjust and antisemitic boycotts just imposed by Britain, Canada (where I live) and others.
I’m sending this article and a link to Lev Haolam to everyone I know.
Are you sure the goods come from Judea and Samaria, and not other areas in Israel proper? I order Israeli olive oil directly from a producer in the Galilee.
For someone to describe it as “pathetic” to say that Britain fought the Nazis is as obtuse and ridiculous as saying that Jews could have prevented the Shoah but chose not to. Someone who says that is as prejudiced as Britain is in imposing this cynical electioneering boycott.
According to 2 British Jewish journalists whom I listen to regularly and respect—Jonathan Sacerdoti and Jake Wallis Simons—there are 500,000 settlers in Judea & Samaria of whom 100 are involved in the kind of violence that they and Yona do not seek to defend.
The boycott is comparable to Israel boycotting products made in Middlesbrough because the town is plagued by murderous feral yobs that seem to have the police, 2 of whom they have killed, chasing them in vain to exert control.
The British problem is Socialism. In essence it is Utopian and championed by those who believe in unicorns, fairies, and the intrinsic goodness of every human being, contrary to evidence and reality. Plus most are antisemites, even the Jews among them—Oy Vavoy.
They believe in a “2 state solution” ignoring the fact that the Palestinians have consistently rejected it and perpetrated October 7 precisely to derail it permanently.
Their other key psychosis seems to manifest itself in the idea that a Palestinian state would contain no Jews at all. No doubt that would be the minimum goal of the Palestinians but their maximum goal is, as repeatedly declared and demonstrated in action, the destruction of the Jews (1988 Hamas charter) or Israel (2017 charter). While Hamas remains armed non-combatants don’t get a say but a majority support Hamas anyway.
The absurdity is that Israel is a democracy and 20% of its citizens, none of them second class, are not Jews. In the October the election the Ra’am party will have a Muslim as its leader and a Jew as his deputy. Can anyone imagine that possibility in a Palestinian state?
The Israelis rightly fear a Palestinian State that will not have renounced its existential objective or the means to pursue it. There is no sign of that happening and until then there will be a 2 state solution only over the dead bodies of every one of 10 million Israelis.
BTW I am a Catholic who disavows the anti-semitism for which my co -religionists have been or are responsible.
As you state, it is quite a journey from fighting Nazis to this. Beyond the usual reasons for the UK’s hostility to Israel (the Red/ Green alliance, the upcoming by-election etc), there is a less obvious reason; the UK is going through an identity crisis of sorts, unsure of its place in the world and experiencing protracted economic stagnation.
There is a form of existential envy at play here. Israel is too diverse and in some ways contradictory to be easily segmented into the usual categories.
No- Britain has become a bad example of what not to do. As you’ve said: He will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you, AMEN and Amen 🙏❤️✝️😻
The King of England is practicing for the day when he will be subservient to his Muslim invaders. The British empire is being reduced to part of the global caliphate.
It starts with the British caving to Arab violence. The vast territory the Ottomans subjugated and the breaking up of the Empires. Arab violence stopped only the Jewish homeland from being established after WWI.
Never existed before: Iraq, Turkey, S A, Syria, Lebanon, their right to self-determination is never questioned.
Blunt instrument, and unevenly and hypocritically applied. Perhaps if Bibi and Co even pretended to want to prosecute Jewish terrorists in the West Bank, Britain would not have acted. The non-opposition by the U.S. makes that pretty clear.
Britain is a problematic critic, to be sure. And collective punishment is as well. My "but" here is that the current Israeli govt is not only turning a blind eye to settler violence, but in some instances, seeming to abet it. That is abhorrent. And yes, are there worse actors on the world stage than Israel? Of course. Is Bibi a chilul hashem, a man so selfish and full of ego that he fed his countrymen into the murderous maw of Hamas on Oct 7th? Yes. And that is unforgivable. So forgive me, but if businesses in the West Bank suffer because of his goat's policies, maybe they can decide to support a govt that isn't hostage to violent, messianic crazies and the hostage taking terrorists who are the Haredim. My heart goes out to all the other Israelis--including many friends and family--abused not only on the world stage, but by their vile govt at home.
You do not get to take Britain imposing economic penalties specifically on Jews living and working in Judea and Samaria and somehow turn the Jews being punished into the villains who deserve it because you despise Netanyahu.
If you believe an Israeli commits violence, prosecute the individual. Arrest him. Charge him. Put the evidence before a court. Israel is a country with police, prosecutors and judges. What you do NOT do is punish an entire population economically because you dislike their politics, their prime minister, their religious beliefs, or the fact that Jews had the audacity to build homes in Judea.
And blaming Netanyahu for Hamas deliberately murdering Israelis on October 7 is obscene. Netanyahu can and should be judged for catastrophic security failures, political decisions, intelligence failures, and everything else that preceded October 7. But Hamas planned the massacre. Hamas crossed the border. Hamas murdered families. Hamas raped, kidnapped and burned people alive. Hamas bears moral responsibility for Hamas’s atrocities. Somehow transferring that responsibility onto the Jews Hamas slaughtered, or onto an Israeli politician you hate, is precisely the kind of moral inversion that has poisoned this entire conversation.
Then you casually describe Haredim as “hostage-taking terrorists.” Seriously? You began by condemning collective punishment and then, apparently without noticing the spectacular contradiction, smeared an entire Jewish community with the language of terrorism. There are legitimate arguments about military service, coalition politics, budgets and Haredi political power. Calling an entire population “terrorists” is not one of them.
And “maybe businesses in the West Bank suffer”? That sentence is the whole problem. Those businesses employ actual human beings. Jews and Arabs. Families. Workers. People who may have voted for Netanyahu, voted against him, or spent election day worrying about their mortgage instead. Collective punishment apparently becomes acceptable the moment the collective consists of Jews whose postal code or politics you find sufficiently objectionable.
Criticize Netanyahu until you lose your voice. Condemn settler violence wherever it actually occurs. Demand arrests, prosecutions and accountability. I will happily argue about every Israeli government policy from breakfast until Shacharit the following morning.
But Britain targeting Jewish communities economically while deciding which parts of the ancient Jewish homeland Jews may inhabit is not suddenly morally enlightened because you hate Bibi, Ben Gvir or Smotrich.
Judea is not some accidentally named subdivision invented last Tuesday. Jews have a history there measured in millennia.
And I am not going to apologize for Jews living there.
Great article.
Heard Miliband on the radio this morning, a slithery slimeball of a snake . Clueless, nasty and takes the shape of whoever last sat on him.
But just as he sent Net Zero into reverse by being such a thick tool...anti Semitism will go back under its stone when he calls by to enforce it .
Britain is done. Find other friends and do NOT engage, trade or provide intel or tach stuff to it . Let Islam do that now. Sandcastles and Semtex.

Ezekiel 16.
The west is simply a transexual prostitute here these days.
Same destination.
